More than a prophet

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

If Jesus were not King, there would be no Christianity. There would only be another religion. Christianity is special because we believe that our God came on Earth, died for our sins and raised for our justification (Romans 4:25). And we worship Him.

We know that without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). We know that He is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30), the only way. And we worship Him. If Jesus were not King, there would be no controversy. But He is and we are grateful and we adore.

Jesus is not a prophet or a good teacher or a moral person. He will forever be:

  • Our Advocate (1 John 2:1)
  • the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8; 22:13)
  • the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)
  • the Bread of Life (John 6:35)
  • the Chief Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20)
  • the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4)
  • the Creator and Sustainer of all things (Colossians 1:16-17)
  • the Eternal Life (1 John 5:20)
  • our God and Savior (2 Peter 1:1)
  • the Good Shepherd (John 10:11; 14)
  • the Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14),
  • the Great Shepherd of the sheep (Hebrews 13:20)
  • the Holy One (Acts 2:27)
  • the Judge of the World ( 2 Timothy 4:1; Acts 10:42)
  • the Just One (Acts 7:52),
  • the King of Kings and the Lord of lords (Revelation 17:14)
  • the King of Nations – Revelation 15:3
  • the Light of the world (John 8:12)
  • Lion of the tribe of Judah – Revelation 5:5
  • Lord God Almighty – Revelation 15:3
  • the Messiah (John 1:41; 4:26)
  • the Only Mediator between God and men (1 Timothy 2:5)
  • the Power and wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24)
  • the Resurrection and Life (John 11:25)…

But ”Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25)
